Earth’s Natural Resources
Walt: use paragraphs in our writing to organise our ideas.
Wal: how and why water, air and soil are necessary for life on Earth.

Task One: Padlet

Open up the padlet and share your ideas about 2-3 of Earth’s resources.

Use ideas from:
  • Your own knowledge.
  • Texts from this week (Reading).
  • Youtube videos.
  • Class discussions.

Task Two: You are going to write about Earth’s Resources. Through your writing, you will need to discuss 2-3 of Earth’s natural resources. Use the ideas on padlet to help you.

Title:
Introduction:
  • Hook your reader in.
  • Introduce the topic.
  • Explain what you will be writing about (Earth’s natural resources) - list these in a sentence.
Planet Earth is where we live.  It is an amazing planet with many natural resources, like air, water and soil.  Some resources are renewable and some are not.  Let me tell you about them.
Paragraph One: Resource 1
  • Topic Sentence:
  • Where is this resource found?
  • How is this resource created?
  • How does this resource support life?
Resource Helps People to Survive. With Air, Water, Plants, Trees, Food. Air Can help us to have Oxygen and Water helps us to drink and Plants they help us to have food.
Paragraph Two: Resource 2
  • Topic Sentence:
  • Where is this resource found?
  • How is this resource Created?
How does this resource support life?
Resource is found by Seed on the ground. Seeds can help us to make Plants, Trees. Seeds are good to make food from plants.
Paragraph Three (Optional): Resource 3
  • Topic Sentence:
  • Where is this resource found?
  • How is this resource Created?
How does this resource support life?
Resource Is made By God. He Makes stuff for us to Survive. Like Food Seeds And Trees & Water.
Conclusion:
  • Restate the natural resources you have talked about.
  • What would happen if we didn’t have these resources?
  • How can we look after these resources? (Your opinion).
If we didn’t have these resources then we would be Dead. We Can Look After the plants trees and water then we would not die.

If you like, you can use this alternative writing template.

Task Three: Take photos (using an iPad), or draw pictures (Pixlr or Sumopaint) of each of the natural resources you have written about, and then post your completed writing onto your blog.

Later on We were at our real class getting our chromebooks then Mrs Buchanan opened the charge buddy then we got our chromebook then miss west told us to put it in a case then we we went back started drawing.

In the end We used strings sticks to put on our kite and we colored our kites then we went to the hall and then we went to our real class and then sited and then Mr Burt told us to show our stuff that we made after that told the kapa haka people to come up and perform after that we went to to our real class

Reorientation (Summary)

Now that you have made a plan, it is time to write your recount in full sentences:

First of all We Went to assembly then we went back to our class then got our labels and it said what class we are and our names then we went to the class that had class on our labels. Next  We ran there and then the teacher said hang your bag up in the hallway I put my bag next to Devontae. After that We Did the roll then we started drawing a kite but it hard draw one so we asked if we can get our chromebook. Later on We were at our real class getting our chromebooks then Mrs Buchanan opened the charge buddy then we got our chromebook then miss west told us to put it in a case then we we went back started drawing. In the end We used strings sticks to put on our kite and we colored our kites then we went to the hall and then we went to our real class and then sited and then Mr Burt told us to show our stuff that we made after that told the kapa haka people to come up and perform after that we went to to our real class.

I know I have been successful writing because my recount:
1
Has an orientation to tell who, what, when, where.

2
Recounts the experience in the order the events happened.

3
Shares my feelings about the experience at the end.

4
Is written using verbs in the past tense (I saw, I walked, I felt).

5
Has sentences with capital letters and full stops.

Technology animation - Writing and Voice Over

My Technology I have Chosen Is Sailing. Sailing Helps People By Sailing Across Seas and other places like the big ocean. How did it work back then. It work by pulling the ropes or leaning over. Technology has changed Because in the back there was no flash sailing boats but now all the sailing boat and that are all flash. In the Future there might be Better sailing boats that go fast as a car.
