Bike Lessons

If your under 5 years old then you need training wheels or you can help you son to learn how to ride a bike. If you want to ride your bike fast you have to pedal fast or if you have gears you can lose them. next stage of the process If your scared and you're going down a long hill then you can lose your gears of breaks. the final stage of the process If your going up a hill If I was you I will lose my gear or get a mountain bike. At the end they know how to lose their gears and there breaks when they up and down.

Two-dimenisional shape attributes

2D Shape Attributes

A vertex (plural: vertices) is a point where two or more straight  lines meet.
For example:  Pentagon has 5 vertices.

Name each shape, write the number of sides, and vertices.

Identifying two-dimensional shapes (Term 2)

Identifying two dimensional shapes
In Geometry we can have different dimensions. The number of dimensions is how many values are needed to locate points on a shape.

0
A point has no dimensions.
1
Moving the point to one direction, we get a line.  A line is one dimensional.
2
Moving the point in a different direction, we get a plane. There are two values to find a point on that plane.  We have two dimensions or “2D”
3
Moving the point in another completely different direction, we have three dimensional.

We are learning  to identify and understand the features of  two-dimensional shapes

Two-dimensional shape is a shape that only has two dimensions (such as width and height).  They are also made with straight lines and corners or curved lines.
Polygons are 2-dimensional (2-D) shapes with straight sides. To be a regular polygon all the sides and angles must be the same.  All shapes in the box below are polygons except circle and oval.
A circle is a shape that is made up of one continuous curved line.  This shape is two-dimensional, which means it's flat.  A triangle is a polygon with 3 sides.

Plane Shapes

Task 1: Practicing 2-dimensional shapes.  Read the shape’s description and choose the name that matches the plane shapes above.   For example: 6 sides and 6 angles is a Hexagon.

Oval
Triangle
Square
Pentgon

Hexagon

  1. 5 sides and 5 angles.
  2. One round curved edge.
  3. 4 equal sides and 4 right angles.
  4. 2 pairs of equal angles and 4 equal sides.
  5. One-egg shaped curved edge.
  6. 8 equal sides.
  7. 3 sides and 3 angles.

Square, Oval, Triangle, Octagon, Circle, Diamond, Pentagon.

Task 2:  What am I?
  1. I am a 2-D shape with 4 sides and 4 angles.
  2. I don’t have any right angles.
  3. My opposite angles are the same size.
  4. There is a picture of me on the first page.

I am a …..

Swimming

WALT recount a personal experience

Planning my recount

Title: Swimming writing

Orientation (Introduction)
Who?
My swimming lerner was Kat She told how to do put on our life jacket and all the other stuff.
What?
What she told me was  if you're on a boat and a there is hole and then if you have have a little boat then go on it or if you have a life jacket put on.
When?
When your going to go on a boat you go fishing when is sunny not raining.
Where?
Where were at the pools on the last day of swimming so first of all we went to have a shower and then went and sat down and then they said one two I was number two number one went first and then two went ather number one then we had our turn then we floated on our backs then we had our turn then we went to the pool that we always swim then we go in the drills.
What happened?

Tell it in the order it happened.
First of all: My swimming teacher was Kat & jedd.
Next we: Then we went to the big pool that says school swim that was jedd or kat’s group that went to the big pool.
After: then we went back to the pools where the other groups are where jedds group and jessica’s group.
Later on: when got we sat down.
In the end: we did floating our backs and front flip and had a race.
Reorientation (Summary)

Now that you have made a plan, it is time to write your recount in full sentences:
