Rubbish Clean Up

Walt: structure a recount

On Monday we did a big big clean up and by the way dose your class ever clean up in your school area and out of your gates. Well my class has we had to get told the rules of it so the rules was to no picking up sticks, grass or before your whole team gets out from the game. Then a few more minutes later we all went outside to do the big clean up.

So when we were all outside we all put ours on because our feet are going to be cold as Mr Goodwin came outside we all lined up in a straight line. We walked to door when and when we got there we had to sit down in a line but the girls didn't listen because they were talking too much to their friends and then the boys were just sitting down. Soon as Mr Goodwin came out all the girls went quiet the boys were still quiet and then we got told to stand up and he had something in his hand and it was plastic bag for each group but we weren't in groups yet. All the boys was ready to pick rubbish so they can win it and play cool math games for 10 min but when we are at class we have to ask him first before playing it so he can time us playing cool math games. So when we were walking to the reserve it was out of the gates but Mr Goodwin had told us to stay in or he can’t see us and he needs another supervisor to help him out because there was a lot’s of us.

When we arrived at our destination we got told the same rules as same time. We all were standing then Mr Goodwin said go into groups of five and me and Josh were just standing there until the boys said to josh to came but then there was no more room for me So I went with Calebs group we had 3 girls and 2 boys the boys was me and caleb Mr Goodwin said when I blow this whistle your groups go and pick up rubbish and whoever has the cleanness one and the most rubbish. Soon as Mr Goodwin blowed the whistle everybody went crazy everybody run to rubbish and people slipped and wet their bums on the ground I went to help them up. Me and Caleb picked up a bunch of rubbish we went to the bag to put it in and my friends in the other team they went crazy we head to the other field but there wasn't heaps so Mr Goodwin sent us back to the school. we pick up rubbish there it was heaps and heaps soon as we finished we went to the top field there was more than the reserve and the bottom field I found the jackpot I got heaps of rubbish and then Jacob and his group came and took some of it I run all the way back to girl with the bag I put it in and then Mr Goodwin told us to came in.

We were all sitting down in lines but in our groups this was results of the game now Mr Goodwin let the supervisor pick she checked if it’s big and clean no grass and sticks. first went the boys she checked it and it was really good and it was big and had no sticks and grass she checked and checked all the other one’s. But one of them had something bad in the bag Hope put it in the bag for her group her group was out. We did a drum roll and then she said the winners was jacobs group they had a good team and it was a big challenge and they had 7 people in there group. They got told that when we get to class you can ask me if you want to use the time on cool math games so none of them used it yet.

Soon as we were walking back some of the groups felt stink because they wanted to play cool maths games for 10 min. But it was still fun cleaning up outside the rubbish because everyone wanted play cool maths games and I would recommend more people to keep our environment clean because our sea animals. My team felt stick to but the girls didn't because they don’t like playing games but me and Caleb really wanted to play it but we lost but we didn't really care.

Task Description: Picking up rubbish and keeping our environment and winning prizes and cool maths games for 10 min.

Chicago Creative Writing

Mr Goodwin sat down to order his first Deep Dish Pizza. Only the chef had something different in mind for Mr Goodwin’s pizza. Instead of the usual ingredients like cheese, tomato, and ham.

The Chef instead used deep fried fish, with horse poo, roasted birds, with a live chicken, ,cockroaches and with alive maggots, and a dead cat with a stinky smell, and the cats stinky egg farts that give a nice smell to the meal, and the dead cat give it good flavor, and a baby octopus, some ugly face that is roasted and tentacles with some toe nail. It was the world's worst pizza in the world, so then all of gathered and put it to 1000 % off it was all for free but no one who wanted it. But one day there was a guy Called Mr Goodwin all the way from new he wanted it so they change the meal to cheese with donkey poo nobody at all come to eat that so they all sat down and had another talk. Now they wanted to copy the other pizza stores they putted just cheese and then people started to arrive and then they added more pizza they made a pepperoni pizza and they got more people than more until Mr Goodwin went back and got some pizza’s.

Then next week they had more people and wanted to make more pizza’s so one of the worker said should we make our pizza’s a little bigger the boss said we can do that but when they started making it and putting it on the menu, everyone was coming to the store but the store didn’t have name so the boss called it Chicago Pizza Kitchen it got really famous and then they got more money, then there was a place across the road everyone started to go to there place because they had coffees and pizza and buggers, the Chicago Pizza Kitchen shop started to close down.

When they finished closing down they all sat down and had a conversation. They started to make silly ideas but the boss said we can do that so when they started cooking they cooked burgers and pizzas. They put the buggers on top of the pizza but the burger wasn't big it was small so it can fit on one pice of a pizza.

They also made coffees then Mr Goodwin was the first one aging but then they gave it free to Mr Goodwin he said it was yummy and the coffees was super good. Until Mr Goodwin didn't know that they put maggots in the pizza, Mr Goodwin was feeling super sick maggots came out of his mouth then Mr Goodwin never wanted to go there anymore. but they made there stuff to deep fried pizzas but they put just tomato and cheese and took all the other menus off. They put the pizza's and then they added cheese and tomato. Next week everyone came back and got deep fried until Mr Goodwin came back in a bad mood. He said this is the ugliest place ever until he saw people with deep fried pizza then felt embarrassing and be'd quiet.

Interpreting Poems

Interpreting Poems
In each of the poems below an object is being described as if it were alive.
Next to each poem, write down the ways in which the object is described to make it seem as if it is alive. The first one has been done as an example.

Tulip Sunday
In the Botanical Gardens
bright tulips
spread out
like a yellow tablecloth
on a table with thousands of legs.
Some tulips
have red lips
and dark black eyes.
They bow and curtsy
in the wind.
By Laura Ranger
Rags
The night wind
rips a cloud sheet
into rags,
then rubs, rubs
the October moon
until it shines
like a brass doorknob.
By Judith Thurman
Paperclips
A jumbled sight,
The sheets I write –
High time for paperclips
To take a bite
And clasp them tight
Between bright bulldog lips!
By X. J. Kennedy

Lawnmower
The lawnmower
Grinds its teeth
Over the grass,
Spitting out a thick
Green spray;
Its head is too full
Of iron and oil
To know
What it throws
Away:
The lawn's whole
Crop of chopped
Soft,
Delicious
Green hay.
By Valerie Worth
Sun
The sun
Is a leaping fire
Too hot
To go near,
But it will still
Lie down
In warm yellow squares
On the floor
Like a flat
Quilt, where
The cat can curl
And purr.
By Valerie Worth
